Worst Brochure Design Yet

I was handed a first draft for our new brochure today. It literally had none of the design elements that I had gone over with the marketing team a week earlier. When I asked them to fill out the checklist to see if it meet what we went over, the immediate answer was “well not all but most I used what you had said and found some other articles.” So unless the other article said to have only your company name and logo on the cover your lying.  Here is how I graded the checklist.

Blogging on the News?

I have a question that I can’t seem to find the answer to, I want to make comments on a news stories, how do I legally put part of the news story in my blog post and then blog about it. Does anyone know?

Update:

From this news story it seems like you can use some portion of an AP news story on your blog. Please let  me know if you have more information or a another link.

Fox News and Boobs

Fox was trying to keep a low profile this week but by Wednesday you knew it couldn’t last. We will give Fox a 5 count this week. I mean you can’t really show a Minaj, Carey feud without showing the ladies

Orders Up, put the Drink Down

The Blue Line is back up which means I can put my drink down. I am saved for another week, but It would really be cool if I could just blog for a living that seems like something I could wrap my head around.

Daily Distraction

I know when you think marching bands you think wildly entertaining. throw in a theme of video games and you have a half time performance better than any super bowl  show in recent memory. So please watch the following  Daily Distraction for the best 9 minutes of your work day.

Tuesday Morning Update

Last minute tinker James Jones out Battle in = Lose.  Let’s hope you all made wiser decisions and will be productive workers today.
